Teams: lmp1 and gt2:
Teams will buy in at the start of the season at a fee of 5 million credits. The way a team pays there buy in is simple. A 2011 Nissan Micra is put up on the auction house for 5 million credits. You will be able to tell that it is for the Le mans series because it will have LLBM stickers on it and will most likely be the only 5 million credit Nissan Micra on the auction house. The reason we have a buy in is to ensure that there is prize money available at the end of the season for the top teams and drivers.
Teams: lmpc and gtc:
Buy-ins are paid the same way as buying for an lmp1 or gt2 team except the price is lower. For challenge classes, teams buy in at a price of 3million credits. Just like in the American le mans series, challenge classes serve as development classes so the price is generally lower.
Complete Teams:
Complete teams are teams that consist of 2 cars and 2 drivers. A complete team is a team that not only has drivers that are pushing to win the drivers championship but also have an owner who wants to succeed in the team championship.
Privateer Teams:
Privateer teams are teams that consist of only 1 car with 1 driver. A privateer team buys in at the same price as a complete team does but is generally a good choice for someone who is aiming at just the drivers championship.
